Why choose

Cripple Creek Adventure Tours?

The Ride

Take your family and friends on an epic adventure with us in comfort and style! We use only new Ford Broncos for our adventure tours, and every tour vehicle is inspected, cleaned, and interiors are sanitized before every tour. From a smooth highway driver packed with all the latest technology, to an open-air 4-wheel powerhouse that won’t beat you up on the trails, these machines do it all with a touch of class and luxury unrivaled by any other vehicle. We’ve tried the others, and we think you’ll agree!

We are the area’s ONLY full-service tour agency. If you are staying in the Cripple Creek/Victor area, we will happily pickup/drop off your group at your hotel or airbnb and save you the drive, free of charge! All ages are welcome! If you have a child who requires a car seat, please bring one. There is no hiking involved in our tours, but there will be stops at scenic locations for photo opportunities, and restroom stops if needed. During the first month of the season, May 15th to June 16th, we can only accommodate a group of FOUR. Beginning June 17th, we will be expanding with more tour vehicles and larger groups (up to EIGHT). Book your adventure now, and please stay tuned as we grow our family-owned business by following us on social media using the links below!

The Value

Our adventures are all-inclusive, meaning a package deal with snacks and drinks included, all wrapped up in one low price. The other guys charge by the person, meaning higher prices, no extras, and possibly strangers on your tour if your group doesn’t fill the vehicle. With Cripple Creek Adventure Tours, you will ALWAYS have your own private tour vehicle(s)..

Available Tours

Ultimate Scenery Tour

If you want to see the absolute BEST of pristine Colorado nature, far away from the crowded tourist attractions, this is the adventure you’ve been looking for! This is our personal favorite family day trip because it has everything. From soaring mountain ridges with miles of scenic views, to deep valleys with historic driveable tunnels, and everything in between filled with wildlife, we never end this trip disappointed.

First we’ll head south from Cripple Creek to Shelf Road, originally a tolled stage coach route that delivered people and goods to and from Cripple Creek and Canon City. It is aptly named for long stretches of road being literally a shelf carved into the side of the mountain, with no guardrails and steep drop-offs. Filled with mind-blowing views and VERY abundant wildlife (including Rock Mountain Bighorn Sheep!), we think this trip will quickly become your favorite too!

After exiting Shelf Road into Canon City, we’ll visit Skyline Drive, a narrow one-way road soaring along a razorback ridge 800 feet above the surrounding landscape, with no guardrails or view obstructions (and let’s not forget the verified dinosaur tracks!), this is likely the MOST scenic 2.8 mile drive you will ever witness.

Last but certainly not least is Phantom Canyon Road, originally the Florence and Cripple Creek Railroad built in 1894. Connecting the lucrative mining districts of Cripple Creek, Canon City, and Florence, Phantom Canyon still contains two original (and driveable) tunnels that were meticulously carved out of solid rock by the old-timers, and features miles of breathtaking scenery filled with Colorado aspens and one-of-a-kind views. We look forward to giving your family the same epic experience we fell in love with!

Ultimate Brewery Tour

We love great beer and amazing food almost as much as we love adventure, so we’ve put together a world-class tour containing the best of all three worlds!

After a scenic drive down the mountain from Cripple Creek, our first stop is Paradox Beer Company. With a full menu of barrel-aged sours, wilds, and one-of-a-kind lagers, along with a menu featuring delicious wood-fired pizza, tacos, and quesadillas, you are guaranteed to leave happy! Oh, did we forget to mention the INCREDIBLE view of Pikes Peak from the giant patio?

Next we take a trip through Garden of the Gods, a 1,341 acre park filled with dramatic views and breathtaking sandstone formations. Just outside the park we’ll reach Red Leg Brewing Company, a veteran-owned and operated craft brewery, boasting a large kid-friendly courtyard filled with a variety of mouthwatering food trucks.

After that, we’ll re-enter Garden of the Gods before continuing south around Pikes Peak to visit Ivywild School, a Colorado Springs institution since 1916. Originally built as an elementary school, it has since been reimagined as the home of award winning Bristol Brewing Company, alongside a host of culinary options featuring Detroit-style pizza, burgers, empanadas, salads, and more.

Lastly, we’ll complete our ring around Pikes Peak and back to Cripple Creek by travelling up Gold Camp Road, a former railroad built in the 1800’s. With tunnels carved through solid rock, sheer drop-offs with stunning views, and the best aspen-filled scenery Colorado has to offer, this is the perfect way to wrap up a perfect day!

NOTE: Food and beverages purchased at breweries are NOT included in tour package.
